PappaRam is starting to get noticed so we decided to give it a try after hearing great reviews. Looking from outside, one might say that the space is a bit small/crowded but good thing outdoor seating is available. It's not along the streets, okay? You need to get inside to get outside. Haha!
We were a bit puzzled with the menu. Good thing the server, who's very funny btw, is accommodating and patient to our inquires regarding the food.
My family and I decided to try the 3 types of rice that they offer aside from the usual steam rice.
- Coconut rice
- Hainanese fried rice
- Malaysian (something) rice
We also tried some of their ala carte dishes that are all good for sharing.
- Malaysian chicken curry - has a touch of spice. So good!!!
- Kacang buncis goreng - baby french bean with garlic and shrimp paste
- Cereal butter tiger prawns - superb!
- Tofu. I just forgot what it was called in the menu
For drinks, I recommend their mango banana smoothie and fresh apple juice!
They also have rice meals and unlimited rice and soup as well.
Verdict:
Price is worth it! Their ala carte dishes range from 250 up. The food is great, the spices were awesome! Really delicious.
Recommended! And I am coming back soon.
